If you can drive carpool, cut the grass, push a buggy at the grocery store, or walk the dog, then you are in perfect shape for the Families On! Challenge. The course is self-timed. We want you to race at your pace.
No, silly. We think you’re going to want to, but you can easily walk around any of the challenges and cheer on your family team from the other side.
The course is designed for family teams of 2 or more people. Grab your family, friends, neighbors, or co-workers and sign up for a fun-filled day.
We love it when family and friends race together. Just tell your family and friends what "Start Time" you selected during registration. All they have to do is select the same "Start Time" when they register and you will be able to race at the same time! For example: Sally and Will want to race with my family. We have already registered for the 9 a.m. Start Time. All I need to do is call Sally and tell her to select the 9 a.m Start Time when she registers and we will be able to race together. But you better tell her to register fast because each Start Time has a limited number of spaces available and they fill up fast.
Fantastic! When you register for the Families On! Challenge, complete the participant information for the first participant. Then click the button at the bottom of the page that says, "Click to Add a Participant or Proceed to Checkout". This will take you to an overview of your shopping cart. There is a button that says, "Add participant". Click this button, and complete the information for the second participant. You can add as many participants as you would like. Once all the participants information have been entered, just complete the billing information and you will officially be registered for the Families On! Challenge. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Let’s just say keep your pearls at home and throw on whatever you normally wear to exercise. You might get a little wet, foamy, and find some paint along the course, but we aren’t going to make you crawl through mud or barbed wire.
No. We love dogs, cats, horses, guinea pigs, snakes, birds, ferrets and more, but please leave them at home. We would hate for someone to over-love your pet.

Yes, there is a FREE bag check on site for race participants only. You must have a race bib to check a bag. Families On! Challenge is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Families On! Challenge is a self-timed event designed to create adventure for your family team. We will have a clock at the start and finish lines for you to track your own race time.
First and foremost you will have the opportunity to share an incredible experience with your family and friends. There are a lot of materials and supplies that will be used at the different challenges throughout the race (you will not need these ahead of time). In addition to a fantastic experience, each participant will receive a bib, safety pins, drawstring bag, an surprise mystery item that is really Cool (literally), sponsor goodies, and other awesome surprises. We will have t-shirts, hats, water bottles, and other cool products available for purchase in the Celebration Station.
Please double check that you can attend before registering for the Families On! Challenge. We put so much planning effort into creating the perfect experience for your family team that we do not offer refunds.
We are going to have too much fun to let a little rain stop us! Most of our challenges are designed to be completed rain or shine. If it rains, you may want to bring a raincoat or some shoes that you don’t mind getting wet. In the event of severe and threatening weather, the race may be postponed or cancelled. The logistics of planning and setting up the Families On! Challenge make refunds impossible.
Every Families On! Challenge course is different. Depending on the terrain, strollers may or may not be permitted. If strollers are permitted, the occupant(s) of the stroller gain FREE admission but they will not receive bibs, race bags, etc. Check each race location to determine if strollers are permitted.
Whether you’re 8 or 68, you will participate equally in this outrageously awesome event. This means that the registration costs are the same for everyone. Ages 5 and below can race alongside their family for FREE (no spectator pass necessary) and therefore DO NOT need to be registered in our system. If they are not registered, they will not receive a bib, bag, or medal. If you want them to receive full racing benefits (including bib, bag, and medal), they must have a paid registration.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! We are so excited for you and your family. We suggest you participate based on the recommendations of your doctor. You can easily walk around any of the challenges and cheer on your family team from the other side.
Families On! Challenge is a for-profit company especially interested in supporting the communities we visit. Nationally, we contribute to the military through Special Forces family foundations. We also locally support music and the arts. Each race will highlight and contribute to 3-5 local charities. No problem. We have start times in the morning and early afternoon. So if you or a member of your family has something already planned for the morning such a birthday party, ball game, or yard sale, just select an afternoon start time during registration.
